Knitting 201: Knitted Buddies (Saturday, Feb 14, 28, March 14, and 28, 2026, 12:30 - 3:30 pm)

These little “lovies” are fun, easy, fast knits and cherished by the recipient regardless of their age. Easily customizable and a wonderful way to use spare sock/fingering weight yarn.   Available as boys or girls and in 2 sizes.  4 sessions allow for support at each stage while you make both a mini and a full-size buddy.

Knitted Buddies class & pattern is an updated version of Angie’s previous class “Knubbelchen”, based on a pattern by perzi888.

All Knimble knitters’ classes include intentional instruction on universal knitting skills, including critical pattern reading, fit, gauge, modifying/customizing patterns, and fixing mistakes, within the meaningful context of the current project.

Fee:     $100 for 4 4-session series                                              

Skill Focus:

  Working on two circulars

·  Working on double-point needles

      Working on a small circumference by different methods, the focus is on 2 circulars

·         Raglan shaping

·         Basic doll making / forming head

·         Decreases – K2tog / SSK

·         Closing following Patterns

·         Putting work on hold

·         Putting work back on needles to resume work

Prerequisites: 

·         Ability & comfortable working in the round

·         Count stitches and rows

·         Willing to ask questions

·         Able to independently use provided tools

·         Willingness to try new things, make mistakes, and learn

·         Adventurous, determined, ready to learn, “can do” spirit

What is included in the class fee?

·         12 hours of in person instruction

·         Unlimited text/phone/email support provided by the instructor

·         Twice a month work sessions with the instructor’s support

·         Detailed class notes including, but not limited to, techniques , hints, tips & helpful tutorials
